GIVEAWAY
CARLSON, MELODY
A WILL, A WAY, AND A WEDDING

Happily Ever After...

Daphne thinks she might finally have finding-a-husband thing figured out. But when the guy she's been dreaming about suddenly changes his tune, Daphne questions whether the wise thing is to keep hoping -- or face facts.

...whatever that might mean.

Deciding to give the whole situation over to God, Daphne focuses on finding a happy life for her and her new daughter, whatever that might look like. But does she give up too soon on the possibility of an I do?

My Review:

Published in 2016
My thanks to my public library for providing me with an abundance of retro reads!

I picked this book up without knowing that it is the fourth book in Dear Daphne series. I had no trouble reading and enjoying A Will, a Way, and a Wedding as a standalone. But I will say I am totally committed to backtracking and reading the first three books. The series is a year in the life of  Daphne -- a mid-thirties woman as she navigates the highs and lows of her ever changing circumstances. It's funny and poignant and very true to life.

Daphne angsts over her single status as she adjusts to mothering her orphaned niece while struggling to meet all the requirements in her eccentric Great Aunt's will. And then there's this guy. Jake. The heart throb stuff dreams are made of only it all goes south when gnarly complications seem insurmountable.

A snappy, feel-good kind of read that's immensely satisfying.

    1. LOL I'm sure my library appreciates your love too. Good luck, Trixi -- oh and Melody Carlson has written a ton of books. She seems to put out a Christmas novel every year too. Check and see if your library has any. They are feel-good Hallmarkish kind of Christmas reads. Good luck!

  2. Oooohhhh! Thank you for the reminder on this one. I've read the rest of the Dear Daphne series and loved them all. I will have to pull my copy up on my Kindle to read it. Another one to add to my TBR pile.

No need to enter me. However, I will say the first three were 'gems' and will worth the time to go back and read them.

    Blessings,
    Cindy W.

  5. This book sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun to read but poor Daphne might not agree. A year in the life of a character is definitely new to me. Thanks for the chance to win an e-book. Kav!

  7. I've had this series on my tbr for awhile and have access to the first two books on Bookgrabbr, but haven't read them yet.

For those who are interested and don't know about Bookgrabbr, it is a website that gives previews and sometimes full books of all genres. Mostly they are previews, not unlike what you can get on Amazon. Yet, the first two full books of this series are still available to "grab." You would have to download the app onto your device or read on your computer, though. Go to Bookgrabbr(dot)com for information and instructions. To be honest there aren't tons of full book selections in Christian fiction, but there are quite a few in Christian non-fiction.

Don't worry about entering me, Kav. My library access is wonderful, as well and I would like to read these first two before I commit to the rest. :)

    1. Thanks for that info about Bookgrabbr, Terrill. I've never heard of it. Mindy you, since I don't read online it won't benefit me now but I'll keep the info for the future. And even if it's just a preview, it gives you an idea of what the writing is like and whether it's a book you'd be interested in buying.
