Forgotten Past

GIVEAWAY

ALFORD, MARY
FORGOTTEN PAST

Lost Memories

Faith McKenzie was the only survivor of a brutal home invasion. Viciously attacked and left for dead, Faith can't remember anything about that night—including the identity of the killer. All she knows is that he's stalking her from every place she flees and has tracked her to a small Maine island. Her neighbor, private investigator and security specialist JT Wyatt, rescues her twice. Now JT is insisting on the whole story—a story that Faith can't remember. Desperate to feel safe, Faith puts her trust in the handsome P.I. Yet a killer is dead set on ensuring that Faith's memory never returns.

My Review:

Warning: this is a book you will lose sleep over. I had to find out 'whodunit' so that was me staying up into the wee hours of the morning frantically turning pages...in the dark...alone in the house...an old house that makes creepy sounds at night. When you are reading about a creepy stalker this is especially disconcerting. :-0 I still have the heebie-jeebies.

I was hooked from the first heart-pounding page. Alford creates a sinister mood that clings to every word. Jumpy and jittery, I waited for the next scary stalking experience to happen...and they did with alarming regularity, progressively growing more and more sinister until a gobsmacking plot twist left me reeling.

And honestly, if I was going to go through something like that, I'd definitely want JT to have my back. Calm. Protective. Compassionate. Serious hero material.

Definitely a must read for fans of romantic suspense.

    1. Glad to see your priorities are straight, Diana. Forget about food in the freezer. Books by the bed are much more important. Good luck!
